It's the Christmas season. Wealthy Chicago ad executive Drew Latham has long avoided the family traditions of Christmas, but has dreaded being alone on the actual day. So when his tropical Christmas vacation with girlfriend Missy Vangilder falls through with Missy breaking up with him in the process, Drew, in going through some self-therapy, decides what he really needs is to relive the memorable Christmases from his childhood, which includes spending time with his parents and younger brother. 1 Review:
Timeline seemed like it could be a big, epic blockbuster. It had the cast, the cool premise and a good director but it all added up to a boring movie. Things just seemed to drag on and besides the aspect of time travel the story was rather bland overall. They had some big moments with great sets and tons of people along with big battles but it was all so underwhelming. At times it all seemed cheesy and the dialogue was almost like they were making it up on the spot or stumbling through the script. There really was not much in this film to like besides the great cast of actors and 1 or 2 interesting moments.

Well let's say it as it is...timeline is a pretty bad film. The reconstitution of middle age is quite poorly conceived, extras and background action lacking any real depth or even energy. everyone seem very slow to react and seems to wait for the first AD to shout action background. The main cast isn't better, most actors being very dull and saying their lines with very little convictions. Paul Walker is so out of place in this film, any second I expected him to tell his girlfriend...hey babe how about we go for a ride... The storyline could have been interesting but here it's cliché and very predictable. Richard Donner is a good director but obviously the epic tales aren't his niche.
